by Jason Welker - Shanghai American SchoolThis workshop will demonstrate techniques for using a wiki as a more dynamic and interactive alternative to a class website, a substitute for pen and paper homework assignments, a forum for communication about class related topics, a way to hold online exam review sessions, and a comprehensive, collaborative, student created course study guide.
Attendees will be shown several examples of uses for a class Wiki, and introduced to the multiple "widgets" that can be added to make the wiki experience more engaging, entertaining and interesting for students.
This workshop is not a "how to create a wiki" presentation. Any wiki provider you choose will have detailed tutorials to guide you in the basic process of creating a wiki.
